This article addresses the Differences between Pay by the month dating websites and pay-per-contact dating websites. Several years ago in my single days I learnt over a period of around 6 months about a problem with pay by the month dating websites and I learnt the hard way. That is usually the way I figure something out. When you want to meet someone, the last thing on your mind is being taken for more money than you should have been paying.

I signed up a profile with a huge and well known pay by the month dating website with the intention of meeting more girls and broadening my social base. It wasn't until I started contacting them that I discovered over the course of a few months that my efforts were not making any progress. I was paying around $40 per month and for that I could contact as many girls as I wanted. That sounds like a good deal, right? Well it wasn't. You see, as a guy, when you start paying by the month to meet girls, the natural inclination is to find as many girls as possible and start emailing them to get in contact with them. I am a real bargain hunter when it comes to getting value for money. So I sent out about 60 emails in the first week because I wanted to get my money's worth. After the 7th email or so, the job was becoming tedious so I started using an email template and just changing one or two details to suit each girl.

Can you see a problem coming up? I bet you could. There are several. You will start forgetting who's who and having to research the profiles again and try to remember which girl liked tennis, and which one liked horse riding, and who's name was who's etc.

Now the main problem I faced with this pay by the month dating website was not remembering all the girls and their interests but something I never thought of. All the popular girls are the good looking ones with professional careers or exciting looking interests. They would get something like 100 emails a week to their email inbox. Think about it. After reading a few emails, they would just delete the rest because they wouldn't have either the time or the resources to read all of them. I actually ended up with not 1 reply from those 60 emails I sent. And you can bet I was quite disappointed. But now you can probably see why. The problem is twofold. Firstly, most of my emails were not genuine because I was just trying to throw mud on the wall to see what would stick. Secondly, girls were getting inundated with excessive emails. This is a typical occurence on a pay by the month dating website.

I learnt that no matter if I sent 1 email or 100 emails I would get very poor results at best. Then I joined another very well known dating website, this one on the other hand was a pay-per-contact dating website. This time I had a feeling things would go better. I began quick messaging girls free and received a few replies, to my surprise. I bought a 6 stamp contact pack and emailed four girls in my third week. After a week and to my excitement, I received two replies which both ended up as dates. 50% response rate. Not bad.

So what happened? Well the results speak for themselves. A pay-per-contact dating website may restrict you from sending as many emails than a pay by the month site, but these are the discovered advantages -

1) Because you send far less emails and value each contact, each email you write you put more effort into. You do more research, you write more, you focus on that person's interests more closely.

2) Because you aren't under the same time limit with a pay-per-contact dating website you have more time to plan your email text and what you want to say to that person.

3) There won't be spammers on a pay-per-contact dating website because it would cost them too much to contact members

4) The girls receive a realistic number of emails that can be more easily answered each week. Also the emails that they receive are more genuine and more likely to be personally addressed than pay by the month dating websites.

So there you have it. I guess pay-per-contact dating websites offer better value for money to people than pay by the month dating websites.
